Our Story

Growing up in New York City, not everyone loved being Chinese.

That's not easy to admit. But it's the truth. When you're second generation, born and raised in the city, you grow up between two worlds. One foot in your heritage, one foot trying to fit in everywhere else. Your own culture can feel like a burden instead of something to be proud of. Sometimes you just wanted to blend in.

But something changes as you get older. Slowly, without even realizing it, you start to see things differently. The things you once pushed away start to pull you back. The traditions, the language, the stories your parents told you. They start to mean something. You start asking questions you never thought to ask before. You start wanting to know more.

That journey never really ends. It doesn't all get figured out. But learning to love where you come from. That love is what built ZODAK.

Along the way something was missing. There was no reflection in the fitness brands on the shelves. The big names, the ones everyone knows. None of them told this story. Asian culture, Chinese heritage, the richness of what so many grew up around. It was nowhere to be found in the spaces that mattered.

So ZODAK was built to fill that space.

ZODAK is for the ones who grew up feeling disconnected from their culture. For the ones who didn't always love where they came from but slowly, quietly learned to. For the ones still figuring it out. For the ones who want to celebrate their heritage but never had a brand that felt like home.

This is bigger than clothing. It's about representation. It's about telling stories that haven't been told yet. It's about bringing a culture to light. Not as a trend, not as an aesthetic. But as something real and lived and worth celebrating.

We're just getting started. There's so much more to come.

ZODAK. Move forward.
